CtrlGamers was founded by Alex David Du in 2025 as byalexdavid.com. As the site grew beyond its personal blog roots, it became CtrlGamers: an independent place for gaming guides, tech fixes, and useful writing on internet culture.
Most posts center on games, then stretch into tech, online work, and everyday internet culture where it makes sense. If something shows up here, it is because someone on the team actually uses it, plays it, or has tried it long enough to say something real about it.
Articles are based on real use, well researched and carefully reviewed before they go live, and updated when things change. Screenshots and steps appear when they help you fix a problem or try something new. Explanations stay as short and clear as possible.
A small group of writers from different places work on the site. Each person writes in areas where they have real experience, whether that is a game they have put hours into, hardware they use at home, or tools they rely on for day to day work.
Some posts include affiliate links to products or services. These links are marked, and they do not change what we say. For details on data, cookies, and how the site is run, you can read the privacy policy and terms.
Writers with real, hands-on experience in any of our topics are welcome to pitch ideas. We work only with people who write under their own names and have a clear online presence. We do not accept ghostwritten submissions.
The main things that matter are:
You know the topic well and can demonstrate real experience.
You write clearly and verify your facts.
You share useful steps, results and examples that readers can follow or build on.
You are willing to follow CtrlGamers' editorial and writing guidelines.
Every accepted submission must meet our standards for accuracy, originality, sourcing and transparency. We may edit submissions for clarity, structure, factual accuracy and consistency with the rest of the site.
If that sounds like you, or if you have another question, reach out through the contact page.
