ARC Raiders update 1.36.0 is not just another patch note for Expedition 4. Buried inside Embark's July 7 update is a narrow store correction for Bog Walker owners who spent Raider Tokens on color variants that should not have caused this much confusion.
Bog Walker refunds are tied to extra color purchases
In the official Live Update 1.36.0 notes, Embark says it fixed an issue where the Bog Walker Set was missing new color variants. The studio also says refunds will be issued over the next few days to players who paid additional Raider Tokens to unlock those new colors, and that the process should be automatic.
That wording makes the refund smaller, but clearer. This is not a blanket compensation round for every Bog Walker owner. It is aimed at players who spent extra Raider Tokens on the missing variants after the set did not behave the way existing owners expected.
If you own Bog Walker but never paid again for Blue Frost or Camo, there may be nothing coming back. If you did spend extra Raider Tokens, the strongest move is to wait through the automated refund window before opening a support ticket or buying the same color path again.
The confusion started with Store Update 1.35.0
The store problem goes back to the June 30, 2026 Store Update 1.35.0 post. Embark added Blue Frost and Camo variants for the Bog Walker Set and said existing owners would receive the new colors automatically.
That created an obvious player expectation: if the colors were supposed to come with the set, spending Raider Tokens on them later looked wrong. The 1.36.0 refund line gives that confusion an official landing point. The issue was not just players misreading the store. Embark is now treating those extra color purchases as something that should be returned.
The useful read is still narrow. Embark fixed the missing variants, and players who paid extra for those colors should get the spent Raider Tokens back automatically. It does not turn every Bog Walker purchase into a refund case.
Update 1.36.0 is bigger than the cosmetic fix
The Bog Walker correction is easy to miss because 1.36.0 has a lot around it. The update includes Expedition 4, Trials Season 5, separate matchmaking behavior for solo, duo, and trio play, a redesigned store, and an ARC Raiders x THE FINALS crossover running from July 9 at 3 PM CEST to July 30 at 3 PM CEST.
There are also match-level changes players will notice quickly. Weapons dropped on the ground now show installed mods, ARC Turbine loot has been increased, and several map, quest, UI, and cosmetic issues were cleaned up.
Two known issues sit outside the refund story but are worth watching after the update: Embark says some PC players may see lower FPS, while some Xbox players, especially on Series S, are still seeing crashes.
For Bog Walker owners, the important part is the refund path. The fix is automatic, the audience is specific, and the best evidence will be whether the Raider Token balance changes once Embark's rollout finishes.
